Aboard is a new software startup created by software veterans. We seek Full Stack and Frontend Engineers to help build the future of teamwork using modern tools.

Aboard is a dynamic combination of conversation, workflow management, and data management, all built into one accessible web-and-mobile application. Your job will be to make it better every day. 

Qualifications

We’re a remote-first organization with employees throughout the U.S., although our headquarters is in NYC. You’ll need to be available during most east coast working hours, and we would like to bring you to NYC on occasion.

Our tech stack includes:

• TypeScript

• React/React Native

• Semantic Markup and CSS

• Elixir

• Node.js

• PostgreSQL

• GraphQL

• Pulumi

We do not expect expertise with everything in that stack; experience is a plus, but most candidates will not have had the opportunity to work extensively with all of those technologies. If you feel comfortable with two or three, we’d like to talk to you.

You will be:

• Collaborating with product designers and product managers to understand requirements.

• Submitting and reviewing pull requests.

• Working closely with other engineers to come to sensible solutions to software problems.

The ideal candidate will:

• Bring a positive, focused attitude and genuine desire to help other people get their work done, which is the whole point of the product.

• Take communication seriously. Writing code is important, but communicating clearly and prioritizing shared understanding is fundamental.

• Be curious and excited to take on new challenges.

We’re a small company and this is a role to grow in.

Aboard is a new software product but it’s built by people who have built and scaled large software organizations before. It’s a well-funded, stable place to work. You’ll be working with a small team of experienced developers, designers, and product managers. We work very hard but keep normal hours. We’re respectful people. New York State Pay Transparency

This full-time role pays from $75,000 to $150,000 per year, conditional on work experience.
