Position Overview
Vend is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer with a focus on CI/CD to shape our DevOps practices, ensuring efficient continuous integration and deployment pipelines, and leading internal tooling. The ideal candidate should have experience with GitHub CI/CD, monitoring, and alerting, as well as strong knowledge of TypeScript, React, and Node.js.

Responsibilities

• CI/CD Pipeline Development: Design and implement robust CI/CD pipelines using GitHub or equivalent systems to streamline development and deployment processes.

• Monitoring and Alerting: Build and manage monitoring systems to ensure high availability and performance across all services. Develop alerts for key operational metrics.

• Internal Tooling: Lead the development of internal tools to improve developer productivity and streamline operations. Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure tools are effective and efficient.

• QA & Testing Automation: Implement and manage testing frameworks, ensuring a focus on quality through automation. Collaborate with senior engineers to ensure continuous testing practices.

• Security & Networking: Collaborate with security teams to ensure CI/CD practices align with the company's security requirements, including for IoT devices. Assist with networking security, particularly in relation to cloud services and IoT integrations.

• Collaborate with Development Teams: Work closely with teams developing in TypeScript, React, and Node.js, ensuring DevOps practices are integrated smoothly into development workflows.

Requirements and Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in DevOps, with a focus on CI/CD pipelines and automation.

• GitHub CI/CD experience or equivalent platforms, in setting up and managing continuous integration and deployment pipelines.

• Strong experience with monitoring and alerting systems such as Prometheus, Grafana, or similar.

• Experience with TypeScript, React, and Node.js for development and integration with DevOps tools.

• Proven experience in internal tooling development to support engineering productivity.

• Experience in QA & testing automation frameworks, with the ability to implement continuous testing strategies.

• Security and networking experience, particularly in relation to cloud services and IoT device integrations.

• Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and services such as Firebase.
