Position Overview

Vend is on the hunt for a dynamic Assistant Facility Manager to join our team! If you’re passionate about delivering first class service and thrive in a fast-paced environment, this role is for you. You'll be at the heart of our operations, overseeing the daily management of our assigned locations, ensuring smooth and efficient parking operations, and maintaining strong client relationships. We’re looking for someone who can elevate our professional image and drive our business forward! This location is based in Bethesda, Maryland. 

Responsibilities:

  • Drive Client and Customer Satisfaction: Actively participate in initiatives to enhance the client and customer experience, leveraging technology and creative problem-solving to deliver outstanding service.

  • Contribute to Financial and Operational Success: Collaborate in setting property-level financial and operational goals. Use data-driven insights to optimize performance and identify new growth opportunities.

  • Oversee Day-to-Day Operations: Take charge of daily activities at assigned locations, ensuring smooth operations and a seamless customer experience. This includes handling customer interactions, managing and supervising frontline staff (such as cashiers, valet attendants, and maintenance porters), completing evening closing reports, processing bank deposits, scheduling shifts, and preparing month-end reports.

  • Lead and Innovate: Be hands-on with technology, from auditing daily cashier shift reports to monitoring time cards, managing damage claims, and preparing the annual budget. Assist in hiring and training frontline staff to ensure they are equipped with the skills needed to excel.

  • Ensure Facility Upkeep and Efficiency: Assist in the maintenance and repair of parking equipment and handle general maintenance tasks as directed by the Facility Manager. Be prepared to tackle any issue—whether it involves technology, equipment, or the unexpected—ensuring the facility runs smoothly.

  • Respond to Unforeseen Events: Quickly and effectively report any accidents, policy violations, safety hazards, or unusual occurrences to the Facility Manager. Adapt to any situation with a proactive mindset, even if it falls outside your regular responsibilities.

  • Hands-On Problem Solving: Whether it’s assisting with the cleanup of debris, water, or oil spills or navigating technology-related challenges, be ready to roll up your sleeves and do what it takes to keep the operation running.

  • Know the Area Inside and Out: Have a comprehensive understanding of all areas of the facility and the surrounding streets, landmarks, and freeways to provide accurate and helpful guidance to customers.

Support the Facility Manager: Assist with various tasks as needed to ensure the facility operates efficiently, always staying flexible and ready to step in wherever required.
