About Themis

Themis is a collaborative governance, risk, and compliance platform helping banks, credit unions, and fintechs streamline oversight, strengthen compliance programs, and move faster with confidence.

Our customers operate in highly regulated environments where strong governance, risk management, and compliance practices are critical. We partner closely with financial institutions and fintechs to help them build scalable, effective oversight programs, strengthen third-party oversight, and navigate an increasingly complex regulatory landscape.

At Themis, we believe great companies are built through partnership, expertise, ownership, and execution. We’re looking for team members who are excited to solve meaningful problems, build trusted relationships, and help shape the future of governance, risk, and compliance.

About the Role

We’re looking for a Senior Account Executive to own our largest and most strategic opportunities and help set the standard for how Themis sells into banks, credit unions, and fintechs.

This role goes beyond carrying a quota. You’ll lead complex, high-value deals with multiple stakeholders and longer sales cycles, act as a trusted advisor to senior compliance and risk leaders, and serve as a force multiplier for the broader sales team through mentorship and best-practice sharing.

The ideal candidate is a proven closer with deep experience in regulated or technical sales, the judgment to navigate enterprise procurement and security reviews, and the maturity to represent Themis at the executive level.

Working Hours & Availability

Themis is a remote-first team that primarily operates Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–6:00 PM ET. Availability expectations may vary depending on the role and team, but this role requires meaningful overlap with our standard operating hours for collaboration, meetings, and time-sensitive business needs.

We support flexibility where possible, but regular or extended blocks of unavailable time during standard business hours should be discussed and aligned in advance.

What You’ll Do

Strategic & Enterprise Sales

  • Own the full sales cycle for the largest, most strategic, and most complex opportunities in the territory

  • Develop and execute account strategies for multi-stakeholder, enterprise-grade financial institutions and fintechs

  • Lead executive-level conversations and build relationships with senior compliance, risk, and business leaders

  • Consistently meet or exceed an enterprise quota and accurately forecast complex deals

Consultative Solution Leadership

  • Run advanced discovery to map complex organizational, regulatory, and technical requirements

  • Lead tailored demonstrations and proof-of-concept engagements in partnership with sales engineering and customer success

  • Build sophisticated business cases that quantify value for compliance, risk, operations, and finance buyers

  • Navigate procurement, security, vendor risk, and legal reviews typical of enterprise financial services buyers

Team Leadership & Enablement

  • Mentor Account Executives and share winning strategies, messaging, and deal tactics

  • Help develop and refine sales playbooks, qualification frameworks, and competitive positioning

  • Model operational excellence in pipeline hygiene, forecasting, and CRM discipline

Voice of the Market

  • Bring structured market, competitive, and prospect intelligence back to Product, Marketing, and Leadership

  • Influence pricing, packaging, and go-to-market strategy based on enterprise deal experience

  • Ensure seamless handoffs to Customer Success for strategic accounts

Required Qualifications

  • Several years of B2B SaaS or financial services sales experience with a track record of exceeding quota on complex deals

  • Demonstrated success owning enterprise or strategic sales cycles with multiple stakeholders and long timelines

  • Strong executive presence and the ability to advise senior compliance, risk, and business leaders

  • Advanced discovery, business-case, and negotiation skills

  • Experience navigating enterprise procurement, security, and vendor-risk reviews

  • Ability to mentor peers and elevate the performance of a sales team

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to manage multiple high-value priorities in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience selling into banks, sponsor banks, credit unions, or fintechs in regulated environments

  • Existing network in financial services, and/or governance, risk and compliance

  • Strong understanding of governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) or Banking-as-a-Service (BaaS)

  • Experience selling compliance, risk, security, or other regulatory technology at the enterprise level

  • Experience as an early or founding seller at a startup or high-growth company

  • Familiarity with modern sales tooling and AI-assisted selling workflows
