Sequin AR is seeking a Production Assistant to join our dynamic award winning team in our Glastonbury, CT studio. This role will start as monthly contract base, and can be remote. Once you pass the evaluation period, you are required to relocate to Connecticut to work in the studio in person as a staff and receive full-time benefit.
You will work with the management team, and producers on multiple aspects of the studio’s operations. This is a diverse utility position that offers many growth opportunities if you are interested in developing a career in the virtual production or metaverse industries.

Production Assistant candidates must thrive in a challenging environment, take direction well, and be calm under pressure.

Responsibilities:

• Provide hands-on support to our management team and producers, such as organizing general tasks, taking notes, updating schedules, tracking supplies or hardware orders, etc.

• Assist in task tracking through our management software tools

• Facilitate communication between our production & development teams and external vendors/contractors

• Assist in studio operations

• Assist in arranging onsite productions or site visits with clients.

• Help recruitment related tasks such as scheduling interviews and handling communications with potential candidates

• Assist in general tasks such as processing invoices or payment requests, scheduling contractor bookings, maintaining office supplies, etc.

• Assist in marketing and promotional material creation

Requirements:

• Must have 2 – 3 years of experience in video game, VFX, film production, or media production related industries

• General understanding of project management fundamentals (e.g. scheduling, tracking, reporting)

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Great at notetaking

• Detail oriented

• Work well under pressure and tight deadlines.

• Excellent team player

Bonus:

• Experience with 2D editing/graphic software like Adobe Premiere or Adobe Aftereffects

• Experience with Unreal Engine

• Experience with project management tools (JIRA, Confluence, Clickup, etc.)

• Took on a role as Producer / Project Manager for a creative project (e.g. school project, indie game, film, commercial, etc.)

• Understanding of 3D or visual effect terminology

• Interests in video game of different genres

• Interests in Metaverse and blockchain related areas
