We have already deployed our first video cameras in Low Earth Orbit and are now scaling our systems. Sen's cameras will be deployed on both our own satellites and as hosted payloads on other spacecraft to capture the maximum number of perspectives of what's happening on Earth and in space, including deploying video cameras on and around the Moon and later Mars, providing multi-world data.
Job Description
The successful candidate for the Electronics Engineer position will have the following duties and responsibilities:
Work closely within a small multidisciplinary team to develop and own new sub-systems and PCB assemblies from concept through to flight
Design analogue and digital circuits to support high resolution video camera systems including power supplies, data/control interfaces, microcontrollers, image sensors, FPGAs, flash storage, memory and high-speed serial links
Perform component selection, analysis, simulation, prototyping, schematic capture, board layout, bring-up, debug, test and verification
Coordinate fabrication and assembly as well as environmental and electromagnetic test and qualification of electronic prototypes and flight hardware with external subcontractors
Produce and maintain design documentation, assembly/test instructions and reports
Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in electrical or electronics engineering or other relevant field
Electronic design experience from concept through to production
Strong proficiency with electronics design, layout and simulation CAD
Experience with hardware debugging at a circuit level and electronic test equipment
Familiarity with systems designed for high reliability or harsh environments in automotive, aerospace, defence or other industries favoured but not required
Knowledge of interfaces and circuit elements: I2C, SPI, RS422, Ethernet, MIPI/CSI-2, LVDS, USB, PCIe, SMPS, LDO, Current Monitoring, MOSFETs and power switching
Understanding of computers and basic programming experience
Excellent written/verbal communication skills
Ability to work in a dynamic start-up environment

We support flexible and remote working for tasks that can be performed effectively from home, provided team members have a suitable setup. However, many aspects of this role involve equipment and facilities in our central London lab. On-site attendance is required when tasks demand it and all team members are expected to work from the lab during critical project periods.
