Position Overview:
Pudgy Penguins is seeking a skilled 2D Illustrator with a specialization in character design to join our creative team. This individual will play a pivotal role in bringing our characters to life through captivating and engaging illustrations that resonate with our audience.

Responsibilities:

• Character Design: Create original and appealing 2D character designs that align with the brand's style and storytelling objectives.

• Illustration Development: Produce high-quality illustrations for various purposes, including storytelling, merchandise, digital experiences, and social media content.

• Conceptualization and Sketching: Develop concept sketches and initial drafts, refining ideas into finalized character designs.

• Collaboration: Collaborate closely with the creative team to ensure character designs align with the brand's vision and objectives.

• Adaptability: Be open to feedback and iteration to refine character designs based on project requirements and feedback.

Requirements:

• Illustration Expertise: Proven experience (6 years) in 2D character illustration, with a strong portfolio showcasing exceptional skills in character design and storytelling through visuals.

• Drawing Skills: Exceptional drawing abilities with a focus on character design, expressions, and conveying emotions through illustrations.

• Creativity and Style: Demonstrate a unique artistic style and creative approach that aligns with Pudgy Penguins' brand identity.

• Software Proficiency: Proficiency in relevant design software (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop) for creating and refining character illustrations.

• Collaborative Mindset: Ability to collaborate effectively within a team, accept feedback, and contribute creatively to achieve common goals.

• Willingness to Relocate: Must be willing to relocate to Miami after a 60-90 day probationary period to work in-house.
