Position Overview:
Pudgy Penguins is seeking a highly skilled 2D Animator with a strong specialty in character animation to join our team. The animator will primarily work with Toon Boom and After Effects, showcasing expertise in character rigging, animation, and possibly animatics creation.

Responsibilities:

• Character Animation: Create high-quality 2D character animations that bring life and emotion to our stories and digital experiences.

• Software Proficiency: Utilize Toon Boom and After Effects proficiently to execute animations, ensuring adherence to project timelines and quality standards.

• Rigging Expertise: Demonstrate strong rigging skills to create functional and expressive character rigs for smooth and dynamic animation.

• Drawing Abilities: Utilize drawing skills to contribute concept sketches, storyboards, and potentially assist in art asset creation as needed.

• Animatics Creation (if applicable): Develop animatics to visualize storyboards and guide the pacing and timing of animations.

• Collaboration: Collaborate closely with the creative team, including artists, writers, and designers, to ensure animations align with the project's vision and objectives.

Requirements:

• Animation Expertise: Proven experience (5 years) in 2D character animation, with a strong portfolio showcasing exceptional skills in character performance and storytelling through animation.

• Software Proficiency: Proficiency in Toon Boom and After Effects is essential. Experience with other animation and design software is a plus.

• Rigging Skills: Strong expertise in character rigging to create versatile and functional rigs for animation purposes.

• Drawing and Storyboarding: Ability to create concept sketches, storyboards, and potentially assist in art asset creation.

• Creativity and Collaboration: A creative mindset, strong attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.

• Adaptability: Ability to adapt to varying animation styles and project requirements.

• Willingness to Relocate: Must be willing to relocate to Miami after a 60-90 day probationary period to work in-house.
