Scientist - Immunology

As a Scientist - Immunology on our team, you’ll drive the design and testing of therapeutic molecules by leading a range of immune cell workflows. We’re open to multiple levels for this role, from Associate Scientist to Senior Scientist.

About Prox

Prox Bio is an early-stage, well-financed biotech company developing multifunctional therapeutics to impact millions of patients. We combine cutting-edge methods in immunology, computational biology, and antibody engineering to advance superior antibody drugs efficiently to the clinic. We’re building a tight-knit team driven by the opportunity to develop meaningful medicines with urgency. Let’s create tomorrow’s immunotherapies together.

The role

We’re seeking an immunologist to design and profile therapeutics that deliver the right therapeutic signal to the right immune cell. We seek candidates with intrinsic desire to influence therapeutic development, jump in without hesitation, and execute in the lab relentlessly. As an early team member of Prox, you have the opportunity to guide our trajectory and grow alongside it.

About you

  • Organized and communicative

  • Fast-paced and biased towards action

  • Collaborative and people-centric

How you’ll drive impact

  • Design, establish, and execute a range of in vitro immunology assays to profile and evaluate immune cell states

  • Perform functional testing on therapeutic molecules using established protocols

  • Contribute to or lead external CRO programs, such as in vivo studies

  • Document, present, and interpret research results to drive molecule development

Qualifications

We recognize that a range of skill sets and backgrounds may excel in this role, but generally, we’re looking for someone with:

  • PhD with 0-5 years industry experience or BS/MS with 2-10 years industry experience in related disciplines

  • Experience in designing and executing flow cytometry protocols

  • Experience in designing and executing human immune cell culture protocols

  • Background in T cell immunology

  • Experience mentoring junior researchers

  • Highly motivated and entrepreneurial candidates are encouraged to apply
