Próspera is building the world’s first and only startup city with legal freedom. We are growing aggressively and are looking for a Senior Software Lead to lead all tech work in Próspera.
Próspera’s secret sauce is our governance framework, which provides people and businesses unparalleled freedom and flexibility in regulations, taxes, and more. A unique differentiator in Próspera is that the regulatory system resembles computer code; we allow companies to ‘fork’ existing regulatory frameworks and create their own versions. Just as GitHub and open source created an explosion of innovation in software creation, this system for the first time creates the conditions for real legal innovation.
The Próspera framework is consumed almost entirely via our e-governance platform, making it into the cornerstones of the Próspera offering. It’s also the most scaleable part of our business - as we continue to grow in Honduras and beyond, the e-governance platform will be used in every new zone.
What we're looking for
You’re an exceptional engineer; your colleagues are often surprised by how quickly you can ship new products and features.
When in doubt, you’re biased for action and getting something out that the customer can use.
You're familiar with a variety of programming languages and understand fundamental principles behind scalable applications, tech stack, and databases. You’ve been dabbling with the latest AI coding tools since before they became mainstream.
You’re excited about going hands-on and designing systems that interface with the messiness of the real world
You’re able to be in-person in our Próspera Roatan office at least 25% of the year

Application Process
Jump on a call where we learn more about you and establish a culture fit
We do a 2-3h work trial in which you work through a real-world customer problem and produce a final output product to solve for it. This will enable us to learn about your work in a real-world setting while allowing you to get a good sense of the problems you’d be facing and how it’d be to work with us.
