Core Responsibilities
Legal Document Conversion and Adaptation
Convert U.S. common law contracts and instruments into legally sound and enforceable equivalents under Honduran civil law and other Latin American jurisdictions
Transform civil law instruments into common law equivalents that maintain full legal effect in U.S. jurisdictions
Perform clause-by-clause analysis and adaptation between legal systems
Draft bilingual legal documents with precision in both English and Spanish
Utilize and supervise AI tools to accelerate initial drafting and comparative analysis processes
AI Integration and Legal Technology
Develop effective prompting strategies for AI language models to assist with legal research and document drafting
Critically evaluate and verify AI-generated content against authoritative legal sources
Establish quality control processes for AI-assisted legal work products
Train and guide team members on appropriate use of AI tools within the bounds of legal ethics
Stay current with emerging AI capabilities and their applications to cross-jurisdictional legal practice
Notarial and Registration Processes
Navigate notarial requirements in civil law jurisdictions, particularly understanding the role of the Notario Público
Coordinate property registration processes across different registry systems
Ensure compliance with cadastral requirements in Latin American jurisdictions
Manage document legalization and authentication procedures
Leverage AI tools to monitor registration timelines and requirements across jurisdictions
Multijurisdictional Legal Analysis
Identify and resolve conflicting legal principles between common and civil law systems
Research applicable legal codes, statutes, and jurisprudence across multiple jurisdictions
Analyze legal concepts like "dominio" vs. "fee simple" to ensure appropriate translation
Provide comprehensive analysis of legal risks and enforceability across jurisdictions
Use AI research tools to identify relevant precedents and comparative law resources
Client Advisory
Educate clients on key differences between legal systems that impact their transactions

Required Qualifications
Education and Credentials
Advanced degree in law (J.D., LL.M., or equivalent)
Active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
Notary Public commission preferred
Certification or extensive training in Latin American legal systems
Training or certification in legal technology and AI applications for law (e.g., LegalTech certification)
Experience
Minimum 5 years of experience in international legal practice
Demonstrated experience drafting and analyzing contracts under both common and civil law systems
Direct involvement in real property transactions in both U.S. and Latin American jurisdictions
Experience with corporate formation and governance across multiple jurisdictions
Proven track record using AI and other legal technology tools in professional legal practice
Knowledge
