Position Summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic, detail-oriented, and service-driven Waiter/Waitress to join our hospitality team. This role is crucial in delivering the world-class dining experience that Las Verandas is known for, combining impeccable service with the warmth and professionalism expected within Próspera’s unique environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet and welcome guests with a friendly, professional demeanor, creating a memorable first impression.
Present menus, provide detailed information on menu items, and offer recommendations based on guest preferences.
Accurately take food and beverage orders and input them into the POS system.
Serve food and beverages promptly, ensuring presentation and quality meet the hotel’s high standards.
Monitor guest satisfaction throughout the dining experience, proactively addressing any issues or requests.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including resetting tables and ensuring proper table settings.
Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure seamless service and communication.
Uphold all health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and sanitation practices.
Act as an ambassador of both Las Verandas and Próspera, reflecting professionalism, integrity, and commitment to excellence.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a waiter/waitress in a high-end restaurant, hotel, or resort preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-centric approach.
Ability to multitask, work efficiently under pressure, and maintain attention to detail.
Fluent in English; Spanish proficiency is an asset.
Knowledge of food and beverage pairings, fine dining etiquette, and service protocols.
Must be punctual, reliable, and presentable with a professional appearance.
