Background
Practice is an award-winning boutique agency that brings new brands to market and reintroduces existing ones through bold repositioning and pivots. We've helped brands like Ritual, Remedy, and Glowbar go from zero to a hundred, and our work has been featured in Fast Company, Forbes, It's Nice That, Brand New, Refinery29, Creative Boom, and more.
We're looking for a senior-level designer to join our team and help us shape the next generation of brands.
As a designer, you'll use design as a storytelling tool to bring new brands to life. Working within an interdisciplinary team, you'll help turn our founder's visual identities into real businesses, spanning marketing materials, print and collateral, packaging systems, and websites. You'll translate brand vision into compelling narratives at every touchpoint, supporting clients through building, launching, and growing their brands.
You are
A visual communicator who wants to explore how brands are built from the ground up, and help develop identities rooted in strategy and business needs
Comfortable working in a small team (you'll be one of 6 to 7)
Experienced collaborating with remote teams or teammates
Proactive, deadline-driven, and energized by creative problem-solving; no challenge too big or small
Versatile across digital and print output: websites, packaging, and collateral
A creative advocate who holds high standards for integrity and craft
What you'll bring
Graphic design experience in a creative or branding agency
A strong portfolio showing brand identity work from concept to execution across multiple touchpoints
Excellent typography, layout, and color sense
Comfort moving between strategy and craft, from brand narrative to pixel-level detail
Skills & Tools
Figma (essential)
Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)
AI tools like Kive, Flora, and Claude
Print production knowledge (die lines, packaging specs, prepress)
Requirements
Native or fluent English
Based in the NYC metro area at least 80% of the year
Willing to work onsite in an open-plan office (local team members are onsite Tuesdays and Thursdays)
As part of the interview process, you'll present a project you've helped launch or bring to market
No degree or set years of experience required. This is a mid/senior role, and compensation reflects your level
