Introduction
We welcome you to join Pixelocracy! A powerful software company changing things across selected industries such as health, mobility and government.
We are first and foremost a team of professionals working together to both improve our lives and our industry. As part of your onboarding process, the team and leadership will thoroughly help, guide and coach you along these pillars.
Position details
We are looking for a Full-Stack Engineer to help us develop challenging products, with technology stacks focused mainly on Python, React/Vue and AWS. You'll also work directly with our Director of Services and General Manager of the company.
Feel free to get a better sense of our career paths in engineering.
This is an amazing timing to join our company and be part of a healthy and steady growth for everyone included. As a member of our engineering team, a snapshot of your day-to-day would include:
Working with development teams and project managers to ideate software solutions
Design client-side and server-side architecture
Build the front-end and/or back-end of applications
Develop and manage well-functioning databases and applications
Write effective APIs
Test software to ensure responsiveness and efficiency
Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade software
Create security and data protection settings
Build features and applications with a mobile responsive design
Ideal experience
In retrospect, what we feel as a minimum requirement is at least 5 years of experience as part of an engineering team, regardless of stack, level or position. You'll definitely need analytical, communication and organisational skills to stay ahead of the pace and challenges of this position.
You'll need to be aware of and understand:
Front-end languages, libraries and frameworks (e.g. Bootstrap, JavaScript, React, Vue)
Back-end languages, libraries and frameworks (e.g. Python, Django, DRF, PHP)
Databases (e.g. MySQL, PostgresQL), web servers (e.g. Apache) and UI/UX design principles
Key cloud services (preferably in AWS) for web development and production environments
CI/CD workflows including version control and containerization
Ability to work as part of a team
Good written and verbal communication skills in English
That is, a well and rounded view of all the different parts of software engineering.
We're open to hearing from you regardless of any specialisation you might have (ex. UI development vs DevOps).
Thank you for taking the time to consider Pixelocracy as your next step!
