Job Description

As Pelicargo’s Sales Representative, you will be responsible for the expansion of our air cargo business in the U.S. Your role is key in identifying and forging new paths for our company's growth, especially through outbound sales to untapped customers. Your focus will be on winning customers, building solid relationships with freight forwarders, and serving as the pivotal liaison between our customers and technology team to lay the groundwork for our global expansion.

 

Responsibilities

·          Drive our Air Cargo product expansion with proactive and energetic sales efforts, emphasizing continuous engagement in outbound sales to acquire new customers.

·          Specifically target and pitch to freight forwarders, leveraging your rich experience and extensive network, preferably with contacts within the U.S. freight forwarding community (Having industry experience with airline or GSA is preferred).

·          Cultivate strong relationships with freight forwarders and other key industry players, maximizing business opportunities.

·          Travel to meet customers, demonstrate our technology, and close business deals, showcasing your ability to expand our business ambitiously.

·          Collaborate with our sales & commercial team to define our sales strategy, explore new product offerings, and measure our results against industry benchmarks.

·          Ensure our offerings remain competitive and work with our product team to evolve our platform to meet the changing needs of our customers.

 

Applicants

Ideal candidates will have:

·          A minimum of 2-3 years of sales experience to freight forwarders, ideally at an airline or GSA, showing a proven track record of actively pursuing and securing new business through outbound sales.

·          With a strong preference for candidates possessing a significant network of contacts within the U.S. freight forwarder community.

·          An analytical mindset with a passion/interest for modern technology platforms and systems.

·          A high level of energy; willingness to go the extra mile to get things done.

·          An obsession with customer success: you understand that you succeed when they succeed.

·          Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

·          Fluency in English (proficiency in other languages is a plus but not required).

Remuneration 

A base salary ranging from $60k to $85k per annum, commensurate with qualifications, augmented by an incentive bonus equivalent to approximately 10% of sales contributions. Detailed terms shall be subject to negotiation upon commencement of employment.
