Portfolio Accountant

We’re looking for a talented Portfolio Accountant to join our multidisciplinary team. The role is varied and gives the opportunity to work closely with a number of clients. Our work spans a wide range of sectors, including MedTech, FinTech, Creative, Venture, FoodTech; with an increasing focus on sustainability through our work with charities, ClimateTech, and AgTech companies.

About the role
The Portfolio Accountant will be responsible for the financial control, governance and reporting across our own and clients’ financial accounts, providing insightful and actionable KPIs to enhance profitable growth.

• This is a permanent position, we are open to full time or flexible working patterns / approaches including; job shares or splitting the responsibilities across roles.

• We’re headquartered in North Greenwich, London, we support hybrid working, we’re looking for candidates who can commit to a minimum of one day each week based in our studio.

Responsibilities

• Prepare company accounts across a broad range of sectors, for companies, sole traders and partnerships

• Liaise with clients on account queries and other matters as appropriate

• Prepare client accounts based on information supplied by client

• Understand payroll, vat, corporate and personal tax

• Prepare business tax computations, partnership and personal tax returns

• Prepare corporation tax computations and forms CT600

• Assist with client queries regarding aspects of their bookkeeping and other business matters as required

• Report regularly to the management team 

• Line management of finance assistant

• Collaborate with team members and members of other departments

About you

We are looking for someone who is a part-qualified or qualified practice accountant (AAT / ACCA), the position would be ideal for someone looking to progress into a more supervisory role, and who would like the challenge of managing their own portfolio of clients. Skills we are looking for:

• ACA or ACCA part qualified, qualified or equivalent

• Relevant experience managing multiple clients accounts

• Strong oral and written communication skills

• Advanced Excel and GSuite skills 

• High level of organisation and detail-orientation

• Strong work ethic and willingness to take initiative

• Good attitude toward teamwork as well as the ability to work independently

• Demonstrated ability to multitask and prioritise
