Join Us: Mutual Group is looking for college-students to join our Summer 2023 Aspire Program who are considering or interested in a career in the financial services industry. Our program is ideal for students entering their junior/senior year of college or recent graduates looking for a short-term work experience and who are looking to gain a foothold in the industry and to take advantage of a tremendous opportunity for career growth.

Description: Successful candidates of the Mutual Aspire Program will work as a team and report to the Chief Administrative Officer of Mutual Group. They will be given a broad range of exposure and assignments across various departments within the company. Typical experiences will have candidates working in Service & Operations, Technology, Business Development, Compliance, and Accounting. Candidates will be assigned recurring tasks, special projects, as well as group projects that will span the duration of the program.

Sample Responsibilities & Activities:

• Work closely with various internal teams at Mutual to support advisor needs

• Work closely with various institutional custodians to respond to the daily business activities associated with a retail financial practice

• Support advisors in their day-to-day client interactions and support-related functions

• Facilitate brokerage and advisory paperwork requests on behalf of advisor activity and client requests

• Maintain and organize electronic records on behalf of advisor and clients

• Maintain and update CRM to ensure notes, activities and client information is properly recorded

• Complete various administration tasks and projects as requested by advisor in timely manner

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Focus:

• Working knowledge of investment products and brokerage-operations processes

• Interest in gaining proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook

• Strong communication skills, both written and oral

• Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills
