Description: The Marketing and Communications Specialist will report directly to the Vice President, Growth and Development and will be responsible for creating, executing, and optimizing company-wide digital marketing and communications business strategies. This position will identify and implement new and innovative tools to increase engagement in company communications encompassing targeted audiences both internally and externally. 

This job requires the individual to collaborate with the Sales and Relationship Management teams and the company’s marketing agency to develop content and messages, leveraging various mediums (Digital & Print) to promote our brand and capabilities to the marketplace and our clients, vendors, and prospective clients. Additionally, this position will develop an understanding of all components of our business and clientele and become adept at reviewing and reporting on data accumulated from various sources (i.e., Surveys, CRM, Mailchimp, Google Analytics).

 

Minimum Responsibilities and Qualifications

Responsibilities:

  • Support the distribution of all weekly communications and cadence, such as new programs, services, campaigns, events, sales wins, org announcements, and others.

  • Promote company brand awareness via social media and other digital media outlets.

  • Design, implement, and administer client surveys, including collecting, maintaining, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends.

  • Write original content, develop highly customizable presentations, and formulate cohesive messaging to promote trust, loyalty, and engagement.

  • Launch & Manage “Blog” and/or Thought Leadership writing that can be leveraged across various communications platforms.

  • Execute Marketing and Sales Strategy by effectively managing employee, client, and marketing communications.

  • Proactively support developing and implementing multiple communications strategies to fulfill business goals and initiatives.

Sales

  • Support the company’s sales efforts by tracking click activity and strategizing new methods to increase engagement with marketing materials.

  • Lead Gen Management – Organization for Sales Team.

  • Record in Zoho and “tag” the appropriate salesperson.

  • Develop marketing campaigns to generate new leads and opportunities from:

    o   COIs (People)

    o   Clients

    o   Digital/Website

  • Adjust strategy/communication to accommodate the target market (COIs, Clients, External, Internal).

  • Communicate regularly with the VP of Growth and Development to ensure optimized processes and tools.

  • Support the migration of Sales CRM from Practifi to Zoho.

Communications

  • Track open rates and employ additional tools to measure the efficacy of various communication methods.

  • Provide enthusiastic engagement on our advisors’ social media posts.

  • Modify communication methods for increased effectiveness, communicating with the VP of Growth and Development when such changes are needed.

  • Conceptualize and create marketing materials for our website, digital and print advertising, sales literature, email, and other content for more effective communications and greater reach.

  • Actively participate in all aspects of Retreat planning & execution, including communications, sponsorship development, attendee engagement, and post-retreat follow-ups and publicity.           

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Focus:

  • 5+ years of experience in traditional and/or digital marketing or other work-related roles are required.

  • 5+ years in communications or editorial work-related experience.

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, journalism, public relations, business administration or related area, or equivalent experience.

  • Experience with multiple marketing mediums, including digital and social media channels.  

  • Experience in strategic communication development, lead generation, creation, and follow-through of email marketing campaigns with result metrics reporting.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft SharePoint and MS Office Suite applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop).

  • Excellent organizational, time management, and multi-tasking skills with strong attention to detail.

  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.

  • Ability to lead and work within cross-functional teams to establish priorities, objectives, and deliverables.

  • Ability to use metrics-driven marketing data and reporting that continually boosts results.

  • Highly collaborative team player and brand ambassador.

  • Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Salary Range: 

  • $60,000 - $85,000 per year
