Internal Medicine Specialist - British Columbia

We are seeking an Internal Medicine Specialist based in British Columbia, Canada, who is passionate about helping patients achieve remission of type 2 diabetes through lifestyle medicine.

As part of our team, you will have the opportunity to work full-time or part-time (1-2 days per week) with us, providing virtual care to our patients. Our virtual care offering is a full-stack solution designed to help patients make the necessary changes to reverse insulin resistance.

In addition to the 1:1 consultation and follow-up visits that you provide, patients are provided with an online curriculum with over 25 hours of videos, downloads and exercises across 12 weeks. This educational material is paired with weekly group medical visits that you will co-facilitate with one of our registered dietitians.

We have a comprehensive training program that will guide you through the details of our approach and help you to be confident in delivering lifestyle medicine care for diabetes remission.

92% of patient in our program improve their A1c and 46% achieve an A1c <6.5%.

Requirements:

  • Board Certification in Internal Medicine

  • Licensed to practice as an internal medicine specialist in Ontario

  • Knowledge and experience in lifestyle medicine

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team (physicians, registered dietitians, clinical counsellors and patient success support staff)
