Senior Account Manager - US

Levellr is a fast-growing startup in the UK with remote colleagues across the globe. We provide software and community expertise to some of the world’s largest gaming companies, brands and music labels to help them launch, grow, manage and monetize communities on Discord. Much like Hootsuite, Sprinklr & Sprout built businesses to help companies with the shift into social media platforms a decade ago, we’re helping our customers with the shift into community platforms today.

We’re hiring a Senior Account Manager in the United States whose focus will be working with a number of blue-chip brands using Levellr to help them thrive on Discord.

This is a unique opportunity to join a fast-growing startup as we continue our expansion, especially in the US. If you join us you’ll be an integral part of working together to develop our product offering, company culture, and business. We’re constantly evolving, growing our team, and building a long-term growth engine.

As Levellr’s (Senior) Account Manager, you will focus on managing and overseeing a portfolio of customers, supporting and advising clients on how to build healthy & thriving communities, nurturing existing relationships, and working closely with the rest of the business development, account and community management team to ensure client onboarding, satisfaction, growth, and overall success.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Own and manage a portfolio of assigned clients

  • Be the primary point of contact for all customer inquiries and concerns and be comfortable conducting client meetings and setting the overall client strategy

  • Ability to work independently, asynchronously and take ownership (this position is remote)

  • Work together with the Community Strategy and Account Management team

  • Onboard new customers and ensure successful product adoption together with the Business Development team

  • Drive customer retention and upsell/cross-sell opportunities

  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and report on customer health

  • Collaborate with internal teams (Sales, Marketing, Support) to deliver a seamless customer experience and help Levellr develop its product offering

  • Stay up-to-date on the latest product features and industry trends

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in account management, customer success, or a related field (SaaS experience a plus)

  • Proven track record of exceeding customer expectations and driving account strategy & growth

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills

  • Ability to build strong relationships and navigate complex situations with stakeholder management both internally and externally

  • Attention to detail and solution-driven

  • A passion for understanding online communities and curious about the space as a whole

Bonus Points:

  • Experience with the community management tech space (Discord especially)

  • Experience working with Notion

  • Formulating client or community feedback into effective product feature requests

Who we are

Levellr is run by two co-founders, Tom (CEO) and Ben (CTO), who have been building communities for the last 15 years at companies big (YouTube, Interpublic Group) and small (MyCujoo). We’ve been working on the business since early 2021 and are backed by Crush Ventures and a portfolio of strategic and valuable angels.

This is not your typical corporate role. Nor is this a funding-fueled hype machine without a real product that fixes real problems. We’re an early-stage startup charting our own course and building a company we would love to work for.

  • We work remotely. You’ll see us in calls from London coworking spaces, suburban home offices, and the occasional Airbnb.

  • We work flexibly. We work around school runs, workouts at the gym, meals with the kids, and the occasional random day off for day trips or long weekends.

  • We get stuff done. We have a bias for action and love creating value from nothing but our code and our conversations.

  • We thrive in uncertainty. We listen to market feedback and iterate continuously to build products our customers love.

  • We avoid hierarchy. We do the right thing without needing anyone to chase us or watch over our shoulders.

  • We aim for balance. We work to build a business that will give our teams (and their families!) balanced and happy lives for many years to come.

We value autonomy, independence, transparency, and trust. We always do the right thing for the team and the business, even if it costs us. We give each other radically honest feedback and challenge assumptions. We know that people need independence and freedom to thrive, but we also know that we need to work together as a team to make the biggest impact.

To be super clear, let’s turn this around: you won't be happy with us if you expect to be told exactly what to do, prefer well-documented processes and well-defined roadmaps, or dislike change. You won’t be happy with us if you prefer to work alone, dislike feedback, or want to stick rigidly to a set of responsibilities. We’re in a fast-changing market, and we need to change fast with it. But we promise to work together continuously and systematically to find the right path for everyone!

We are an equal-opportunity employer aiming to build a diverse team. We do not discriminate based on ethnicity, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, or disability status. We’re open and inclusive, and it’s important to us that you are too.
