An Account Director will be responsible to lead and manage our client relationships, drive growth, and ensure the delivery of high-quality work.

A day in the life of an Account Director

  • Understand Supari’s revenue and profitability model and ensure work is completed within given budgets, timelines and  at the highest quality

  • Own the revenue and forecast for the allotted brands. Determine and negotiate budget needs; provide input to fee development. Be responsible for new business opportunities and driving growth on assigned brands to convert them to mega brands

  • Responsible for establishing and maintaining a cohesive and successful partnership between brands and relevant teams/departments that are involved with the client

  • Oversees and manages multiple projects, develops account management strategies and provides strategic recommendations to  ensure overall account success

  • To spot opportunities through your own network and supporting the new business team on pitches and presentations, as and when required

  • Have a comprehensive understanding of client's business and have a thorough understanding of industry business trends. Be alert to changes in clients’ marketplace. Have in-depth knowledge of what’s going on in the marketplace to offer solutions to clients

  • Variablizing (building an external team) for projects as and when required

  • Oversees team members and ensures successful delivery of work

  • Own the brand. Own and communicate regularly with the client and the extended internal/external team, be sought as strategic leader by the team.

  • Foster a culture of innovation, excellence, and continuous improvement

What does success look like

  • Business KPIs

  • Value Creation for our clients: 

  • Development and execution of successful forwarding thinking strategies to  grow & provide value to our  clients business 

  • Customer Experience score

  • Overall client NPS to be 4/5 

  • Value Creation for Kulfi: Retention, Growth and new acquisition of Mega accounts:  

  • Responsible for managing and tracking the Profit & Loss of the brands associated with the Account Director. (Expected growth by 50-60% and Expected margin 40-45% to be maintained on strategic mega accounts) 

  • Growth in the billing no. of existing mega accounts annually (accounts that have grown to $2m in revenues or more)

  • Conversion percentage of the number of briefs received annually  

  • No of new accounts won and acquired annually

  • Successful project completion rate within established timelines and budgets 

  • Tracking a cultural relevance score of 3.5/5 on all projects 

  • People Management KPIs

  • ​​Team performance: Creating a high performance team (Almost Always Exceeds Expectations) in order to measure the performance of the direct reportees 

  • Coaching and mentoring sessions which result in higher efficiency in the role and increased levels of output at work

  • Professional Development KPIs

  • Industry recognition and thought leadership


Qualities and skill sets we would like for you to showcase

  • 7+ years of experience in client servicing and account management.

  • Proven track record of building strong relationships with clients and brands, and delivering exceptional results.

  • Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop innovative solutions

  • Strong workflow management and project management skills, with experience managing complex projects and teams

  • Excellent team building and leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others

  • Strong negotiation skills, with the ability to balance client needs with agency profitability

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex ideas in a clear and concise manner
