The role

As a Full-Stack Software Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering and adapting our platform across multiple client implementations in a startup environment. Beyond writing high-quality code, you will work across a range of projects and frontends, balancing competing priorities while keeping a consistent standard of quality.

Success in this role means delivering incrementally and efficiently, making thoughtful trade-offs between technical complexity and customer demands to maximise impact. You will work closely with the customer-facing teams and engineering team to build robust, secure and maintainable software while ensuring best practices in architecture, security and testing.

Please note that this is a Melbourne-based hybrid role.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop new features and improvements with a focus on scalability and security.

• Support mid-level engineers, reviewing code and sharing knowledge.

• Contribute to technical strategy, ensuring that engineering efforts align with business objectives.

• Improve CI/CD pipelines, testing frameworks and overall development processes.

• Collaborate in an adaptive and iterative agile process that values feedback, transparency and shared ownership.

What We’re Looking For

Experience and Technical Skills

• At least six years of professional software development experience in an agency or multi-project environment.

• A track record of working in teams that prioritise communication, trust and adaptability.

• Strong knowledge of REST APIs and distributed systems.

• Expertise in automated testing, including unit, integration and end-to-end tests.

• Familiarity with AWS (ECS Fargate) or equivalent cloud platforms.

• A solid understanding of software security, performance optimisation and reliability.

• Frontend: React, TypeScript.

• Backend: TypeScript, Node.js.

• Development Environment: macOS.
