About the Role

Invicta Software is seeking a dedicated Desktop Support Specialist to join our dynamic IT team. This role is essential in providing timely and effective technical support to our employees, ensuring smooth daily operations and a seamless technology experience across the organization.

As a Desktop Support Specialist, you will be the frontline resource for troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues, playing a key role in maintaining productivity and user satisfaction.

Key Objectives

  • Deliver prompt and professional desktop support to end-users across the company.

  • Diagnose, resolve, and document technical issues related to desktops, laptops, peripherals, and software.

  • Collaborate with IT team members to improve support processes and technology deployment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide first-level technical support via phone, email, or in-person for hardware, software, and connectivity issues.

  • Install, configure, and maintain desktop and laptop computers, including operating systems and applications.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to printers, scanners, and other peripheral devices.

  • Assist with user account management, including password resets and access permissions.

  • Document incidents and resolutions accurately in the ticketing system.

  • Coordinate with vendors and escalate complex issues to higher-level IT staff when necessary.

  • Support IT initiatives such as hardware rollouts, software upgrades, and security compliance.

  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge base and contribute to continuous improvement of support procedures.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.

  • Proven experience (2+ years) in desktop or technical support roles.

  • Strong knowledge of Windows and macOS environments.

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, Active Directory, and common enterprise software.

  • Basic understanding of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DHCP, and VPN.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused mindset.

  • Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), or equivalent are a plus.
