About the Role
Invicta Software is seeking a dedicated Desktop Support Specialist to join our dynamic IT team. This role is essential in providing timely and effective technical support to our employees, ensuring smooth daily operations and a seamless technology experience across the organization.
As a Desktop Support Specialist, you will be the frontline resource for troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues, playing a key role in maintaining productivity and user satisfaction.
Key Objectives
Deliver prompt and professional desktop support to end-users across the company.
Diagnose, resolve, and document technical issues related to desktops, laptops, peripherals, and software.
Collaborate with IT team members to improve support processes and technology deployment.
Responsibilities
Provide first-level technical support via phone, email, or in-person for hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
Install, configure, and maintain desktop and laptop computers, including operating systems and applications.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to printers, scanners, and other peripheral devices.
Assist with user account management, including password resets and access permissions.
Document incidents and resolutions accurately in the ticketing system.
Coordinate with vendors and escalate complex issues to higher-level IT staff when necessary.
Support IT initiatives such as hardware rollouts, software upgrades, and security compliance.
Maintain an up-to-date knowledge base and contribute to continuous improvement of support procedures.
Qualifications
Associate’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
Proven experience (2+ years) in desktop or technical support roles.
Strong knowledge of Windows and macOS environments.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, Active Directory, and common enterprise software.
Basic understanding of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DHCP, and VPN.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused mindset.
Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), or equivalent are a plus.
