About Hedral
Hedral is redefining building design through automated, multi-disciplinary engineering.
We develop and operate a proprietary platform that accelerates design schedules, enabling us to deliver the output of traditional AEC firms ten times our size. We are fully licensed to stamp these designs as Engineer of Record and take responsibility for highly-consequential projects, from mission-critical federal facilities to complex commercial infrastructure.
We are scaling quickly with backing from leading venture capital including Khosla Ventures, Valor Equity Partners, and Tishman Speyer.
The Role
You will support the structural design and analysis of complex buildings and infrastructure, working closely with senior leadership to deliver high-quality engineering packages. This role is for a technically ambitious engineer who wants to master traditional engineering fundamentals while operating within a highly automated, fast-paced environment.

Austin, TX or New York, NY - Primary preference for Austin or NYC; remote-eligible for exceptional candidates with a proven track record.
Core Responsibilities
Structural Analysis: Perform design calculations and modeling for primary building elements in various materials (steel, concrete, masonry, and timber).
Project Documentation: Prepare technical specifications and construction documents, ensuring all work meets rigorous internal and industry standards.
Coordination: Assist in interdisciplinary reviews to ensure design packages are complete, coordinated, and delivered within tight project timelines.
Technical Execution: Utilize advanced structural analysis software and Revit to develop 3D models and produce detailed 2D structural drawings.
Requirements
Education: BS in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
Experience: 1+ years of relevant experience in the structural design of buildings and structures.
Technical Foundation: Familiarity with structural codes (ASCE 7, ACI 318, AISC, IBC) and experience with tools like ETABS, SAP2000, RAM, Enercalc, Tekla Tedds or Excel.
Revit Proficiency: Ability to perform direct drafting and make changes to Revit 3D models and 2D details.
Licensure: EIT (Engineer-in-Training) certification preferred, with a clear path toward obtaining a PE license.
Iterative Mindset: Ability to work quickly, take feedback, and iterate on designs in a high-intensity environment.
Bonus Qualifications
Advanced Degree: Master’s degree in Structural Engineering.
Automation Interest: Exposure to Dynamo, Python, or other scripts used to automate engineering or BIM workflows.
Academic Excellence: Strong performance in coursework related to advanced structural analysis and design.
How we operate
Ownership & Intensity: We operate with high autonomy and a shared sense of urgency to redefine an entire industry.
Bias for Action and Efficiency: We prioritize automation over manual effort to solve high-consequence problems, shipping quickly and often.
Data-Driven Decisions: Hedral’s core advantage is not just automation, but that our system learns from real, stamped engineering work. Every project feeds back into the model.
