Checkmate Collab Manager

Checkmate.live is seeking enthusiastic and proactive individuals to join our team as Moderators and Admins.

We are gearing up for our first drop of Avatars, loot, passes, and Alpha packs, and we need your help.

We are open to all skill levels, provided you have a keen interest in chess, esports, fair play, web3, and competitive gaming.

Our platform caters to both web2 and web3 competitive players, as well as those interested in trading their hard-earned winnings.

Join us in cultivating a community that values fair play and the opportunity to share in the upside. 50% of our Alpha drop, secondary sales, and marketplace trading fees are allocated to the Community Treasury.

We are open to volunteers and those seeking paid positions. We are particularly interested in individuals who are proficient in English, Arabic, Chinese, Spanish, and Hindi. We also encourage moderators who can converse in English as a second language and want to build a  local community. 

Responsibilities:

• Chatting and engaging with the community on Discord and other channels

• Promote a positive and inclusive community atmosphere, encouraging tolerant and constructive dialogue.

• Address community queries, feedback, and support needs promptly.

• Offer clear guidance to community members unfamiliar with web3

• Engage community members via questions, polls, compelling news, contests, campaigns, and a variety of other methods

• Engage in community outreach and partner efforts across Twitter and Discord

• Uphold community guidelines and codes of conduct to ensure a safe and respectful Discord server environment.

• Seek out ways to improve the community experience and suggest community enhancements.

• Support the development and management of community engagement initiatives and growth strategies.

• Help organize and moderate online events, tournaments, and AMA sessions.

• Collaborate with the founders and other team members to resolve community issues.

Who We Are Looking For:

• Mods who can lean in a couple of hours a day to ensure we are inclusive

• Strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills capable of communicating information clearly

• Knowledge about basic NFT & Web3 terminology (you should have been active in the NFT space, including being part of NFT communities)

• Individuals with prior experience in customer support, community management, or similar roles.

• Problem-solvers who can manage high-pressure situations with professionalism.

• Those with empathy and patience to support users of varying technical backgrounds.

• Enthusiasts for Web3, Chess, Esports, and Fair Play.
