Job Description:

As a growing startup, we're in search of an adaptable and motivated Computational Scientist. If you have a solid foundation in machine learning and a keen interest in peptide/protein engineering and design, you could be pivotal in our journey. You'll have the chance not just to implement but to innovate, bringing cutting-edge algorithms to life and making tangible impacts on our drug development pipeline.

Responsibilities:

• Team up with our passionate scientists and engineers to infuse machine learning into our design processes.

• Harness the power of large language models for brainstorming, fueling creativity, and appraising project viability.

• Craft and implement machine learning models like graph neural networks and 3D convolutional networks, turning vast biological data into actionable insights.

• Keep a finger on the pulse of the latest in machine learning, bringing fresh ideas and techniques into our dynamic workspace.

• Be a voice in our company, sharing research findings, and insights both internally and in the broader scientific community.

• Work independently to identify

Qualifications:

• PhD in Computer Science, Bioinformatics, or a related field. Your foundation in machine learning, combined with an interest in peptide/protein design, is what we value.

• Experience in crafting and utilizing machine learning algorithms, with a bonus for those familiar with biological or chemical data.

• Familiarity with python and machine learning libraries.

• A detail-oriented mindset, team spirit, and a startup mentality – ready to adapt, pivot, and grow.

• Strong communication skills to bridge ideas across our tight-knit team and to external stakeholders.

• (Optional) Experience with Rosetta, RosettaFold, RFDesign, RFDiffussion, AlphaFold, AlphaFold Design, or other protein prediction or design software. (Those with a strong ML background but without the necessary protein/chemistry background are welcome to apply)
