Quantum Lab Engineer Intern

Atlantic Quantum is seeking an intern for summer 2024 to assist in building out our quantum computing lab. You will be working closely with our engineering team and set up instruments and infrastructure for the characterization of quantum processors. Your tasks will include:
Setting up and maintaining lab infrastructure for the characterization of superconducting qubit processors.
Designing cryogenic components using CAD software.
Writing software to control, monitor, and/or track lab equipment.
Learning the fundamentals of qubit measurement and characterization.

Coursework in Physics, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
Hands-on experience working in a physics or engineering laboratory.
8-12 weeks during summer 2024
Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US. The candidate must have the capacity to comply with the requirements of applicable U.S. export control laws and regulations, including the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), and Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC).
