Job description

Atlantic Quantum is seeking a research scientist for theoretical modeling of our quantum processors. You will be working closely with our processor design team to develop superconducting qubit architectures and control schemes. Your tasks will include:

  • Building quantum mechanical models of coupled superconducting qubit systems

  • Performing numerical simulations of superconducting circuit properties and dynamics

  • Develop and simulate single- and two-qubit gate schemes

Required Qualifications

  • PhD in Physics, Electrical engineering, software engineering, or a related engineering discipline. Alternatively, MSc in one of these fields and at least three years of work experience.

  • Research experience in design and simulation of circuit QED and superconducting qubit devices.

  • Proficiency in Python or in a similar high-level programming language.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Agile development in general and Atlassian’s Agile software suite in particular.

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US.
