Job Overview

Anthology is looking for an innovative, self-motivated Technology Fellow to work on a paid strategy project centered on product research and roadmap development. You should have the ability to dedicate 10 hours per week to the project. You will work directly with the founding team, advisors and external consultants to

  • Perform product research (technical bottlenecks, IP, and alignment with Anthology's platform);

  • Identify and connect with potential customers, and key opinion leaders from the industry and academia; 

  • Build understanding of the market dynamics, key technology, investment and regulatory trends;

The ideal candidate

  • Motivated by the company's mission to scale biomanufacturing levering nature’s tools.

  • Advanced degree (PhD) in bioengineering, chemical engineering or related discipline or combination of life science undergraduate degree and an MBA.

  • Deep interests and/or relevant experience in industrial biotechnology, protein engineering, or biomanufacturing.

  • Outstanding analytical mind with attention to detail without losing sight of the larger goals and context.

  • Pro-active and self-motivated, while also taking directions well or seeking directions when needed.

  • Able to present and communicate effectively.

This role is a unique opportunity to get a front row seat to see how decisions are made in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving synbio startup. The role can be done remotely with occasional visits to company offices in Cambridge, MA.

Job Location

You are welcome to work on-site in Cambridge near Kendall and Central Square. Our new lab is housed at The Engine, a brand new 150K sq/ft facility designed for deep tech companies. Centrally located at the biotechnology hub in Cambridge, The Engine can be easily accessed by red line, buses, and bikes. You will be surrounded by top talents in the country who bridge breakthrough science and engineering to address the toughest challenges in our generation.
