Scientist, Machine Learning (Protein Science, Pharmacokinetics, and Peptide Drugs)
Amide is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Computational Scientist with a background in machine learning applied to protein science or peptide drug design. In this role, you will be responsible for implementing and adapting cutting-edge machine learning algorithms to analyze large protein and peptide drug data sets to advance our understanding of drug efficacy and safety.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with other scientists and engineers to integrate machine learning models into drug development pipelines, with a focus on peptide drugs, or other related applications.
Design and implement machine learning models to analyze protein pharmacokinetic and peptide drug data, including absorption, distribution, metabolism, and excretion (ADME) properties.
Develop methods for predicting drug interactions and side effects based on protein pharmacokinetic and peptide drug data.
Stay current with advancements in machine learning and protein science, pharmacokinetics, and peptide drug research, and integrate new techniques as appropriate.
Report and present research findings and developments including status and results clearly and efficiently both internally and externally, verbally and in writing.
Requirements:
PhD in Computer Science, Bioinformatics, or a related field with a focus on protein science, pharmacokinetics, or peptide drugs and machine learning.
Experience in developing and implementing machine learning algorithms for protein or peptide drug data analysis, including integration into experimental design-build-test-learn cycles.
Experience in curation and design of datasets for machine learning applications.
Domain knowledge of protein pharmacokinetics and ADME properties
Strong programming skills in Python and experience with machine learning libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Keras in a Linux environment.
