Overview of the Role
You will serve as the top technology authority for one or more mid-market companies, providing strategic leadership, operational structure, and hands-on oversight of systems, cybersecurity, data, and major technology initiatives. Only a small percentage of applicants are accepted based on leadership ability and demonstrated results.
Responsibilities
Technology Leadership
Own the company-wide technology roadmap
Align technology priorities to business goals
Present strategy and updates to executive leadership
Translate complex environments into structured, actionable plans
Operational Ownership
Oversee IT operations, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and vendors
Mentor internal IT resources
Direct ERP/CRM/data architecture decisions
Define KPIs and reporting frameworks
Execution & Delivery
Lead technology projects end-to-end
Modernize fragmented or outdated environments
Improve performance, reliability, and organizational efficiency
Collaborate cross-functionally with finance, operations, and leadership teams
Risk, Security & Governance
Strengthen cybersecurity posture
Support compliance and audit readiness
Implement governance frameworks that reduce operational risk
What Success Looks Like
A clear, executive-aligned roadmap
Predictable execution across IT initiatives
Better use of people, tools, and vendors
Stronger security, reliability, and scalability
Clarity and accountability across leadership and IT
Required Qualifications
12–20+ years in senior technology leadership
Held roles such as CIO, CTO, VP of IT, or Director of IT
Led organizations in the $20M–$500M+ range
Experience driving strategy and leading execution
Strong communication and executive presence
Proven ability to manage budgets, teams, and vendors
Experience modernizing legacy environments
