Responsibilities
Provide technical management of floating offshore wind projects with complex teams consisting of in-house engineers, strategic partners, consultants, suppliers and others
Establish the schedule, cost and resource plans for all projects, and ensure that all projects remain on schedule and on budget
Ensure technical work is being performed to the highest standard, which is some cases may require intelligently challenging our processes or the methodologies of our clients and suppliers
Manage relationships and negotiate with suppliers and other stakeholders
Define and implement the company’s project management philosophy and framework
Develop a logical and clear method of reporting, including systems to manage the collection and analysis of data in an orderly way
Carefully manage and report on project status, timelines, and risks
Support the application for grant funding and the management of grant-funded projects where available and relevant
Support business development activities, including participation in the development of technical proposals
Support the company’s understanding of the landscape of competitive and complementary floating offshore wind technologies
Prioritize safety at all times for all employees and stakeholders and work alongside the rest of the team to maintain a safe work environment
Requirements
BS in Engineering or relevant field plus 5 years of project management experience (renewable energy, offshore oil & gas or, even better, offshore wind)
MS in Engineering or relevant field plus 2 years of project management experience (renewable energy, offshore oil & gas or, even better, offshore wind)
Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and contracts; experience working with international project teams is a plus
Experience with classification society/certification body rules, such as those from IEC, ABS, DNV, etc.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with multiple clients and stakeholders simultaneously
Excellent oral and written communication skills and comfort communicating both internally and externally
Excellent reporting skills, including producing high-quality written reports and summary presentations, which in many cases will require creating clarity from complexity
High emotional intelligence and excellent interpersonal skills
Enjoyment working in a fast-paced, small company with a big mission
Strong desire to work in floating offshore wind and continuously learn about the industry
