Founding Product Manager

Location: Remote
Type: Full-time

About 16VC

16VC is a venture capital firm and venture studio partnering with exceptional founders to build, launch, and scale category-defining technology companies. We work at the earliest stages of company creation identifying opportunities, validating ideas, assembling world-class teams, and helping founders build products with global impact.

We're looking for a Founding Product Manager to join our venture studio and help turn ambitious ideas into successful businesses.

The Role

As a Founding Product Manager, you'll work alongside founders, engineers, designers, and investors to build products from zero to one. You'll play a critical role in validating opportunities, defining product strategy, launching MVPs, and driving product-market fit across new ventures.

This is an opportunity to build multiple companies—not just one product.

What You'll Do

  • Lead product strategy from idea to launch.

  • Conduct customer discovery interviews and validate market opportunities.

  • Define product vision, roadmap, and feature priorities.

  • Translate customer insights into clear product requirements.

  • Work closely with engineering and design to deliver high-quality MVPs.

  • Analyse user behaviour, product metrics, and customer feedback to guide decisions.

  • Drive rapid experimentation and iteration to achieve product-market fit.

  • Collaborate with founders and venture studio leadership on new venture creation.

  • Support portfolio companies with product strategy and execution where needed.

What We're Looking For

  • 3+ years of experience in Product Management.

  • Experience building products in startups or high-growth technology companies.

  • Strong understanding of product strategy, customer discovery, and Agile development.

  • Ability to make decisions using data and customer insights.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

  • Comfortable working in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.

  • Passion for startups, innovation, and company building.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with AI, SaaS, fintech, or enterprise software.

  • Previous experience in an early-stage startup, accelerator, or venture studio.

  • Technical background or experience working closely with software engineering teams.

  • Familiarity with tools such as Figma, Jira, Notion, Mixpanel, and Amplitude.

Why Join 16VC?

  • Build products that become venture-backed companies.

  • Work directly with founders, investors, and experienced operators.

  • Own meaningful product decisions from day one.

  • Be part of a collaborative team focused on creating the next generation of category-defining startups.

  • Competitive salary with equity opportunities where applicable.
